For a Cold, Look to Elecampane Root

Summer colds are the worst! Yet so many people are coming in trying to find relief from the constant coughing and sore throat. So I thought I’d share with you one of my favorite herbs for treating coughs: elecampane root.

Elecampane root has been used for centuries to treat respiratory problems, and it’s a great option for people who are looking for a natural remedy. It’s a mild expectorant, which means it helps to loosen phlegm and mucus so that it can be coughed up more easily. It’s also antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, which can help to soothe a sore throat and irritated airways.

On its own, it doesn’t taste the best. Which is why I’ve carefully blended our Cold & Flu tea to taste great. Not only does it include elecampane root, but also echinacea, eucalyptus, spearmint, lemon balm, licorice root, yerba santa, and marshmallow root.

If you’re looking for a natural way to soothe a cough, I encourage you to give elecampane root tea a try. It’s a safe and effective remedy that can help you feel better quickly.

Elecampane root is generally safe for most people to use, but it’s important to talk to your doctor before taking it if you have any underlying health conditions. It’s also not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Hope you feel better!
